Monday I hung my new show at Secession. I had more work than I had space on the wall, so I had to cull a couple of pieces, but I think it ended up being a pretty good and cohesive set. This show has several smaller inexpensive pieces in it, which is a bit of a change for me. I hope it will be successful.
Aside from my work, there’s new prints by Brian Schuck which are lovely, and paintings by Nate1, plus an entirely fresh set of clothing, jewelry and accessories in the boutique area of the gallery.
This show is up on the wall til November 28, but the big weekend for it will, I think, be Open Studios, which happens in my studio neighborhood (Mission/Bernal Heights) next weekend, October 10-11. We’ll be open and I’ll be there 11am-7pm on Saturday the 10th, and 11am-6pm on Sunday the 11th. The opening party is that Friday night, the 9th, 6:30 to 9:30pm. I am aquiver with anticipation.
