SFCAC 7th Annual Benefit Art Auction
111 Minna Gallery, San Francisco

A benefit for the San Francisco Childrens' Art Center. Please join us for an evening of art, music, and prizes! Enjoy a silent auction of work from talented Bay Area artists in a variety of media including painting, collage, fine art prints, and photography. Proceeds from this event support SFCAC classes, community programs, and scholarships.

Hors d’oeuvres and beverages provided by: Green's Restaurant, Whole Foods, Grace Baking, Rainbow Grocery, Douce France, Bernie's Coffee, Falletti Foods, and more.

Raffle gift baskets will be given away throughout the evening, for $5 per ticket or five tickets for $20. Raffle prizes are made into gift baskets filled with gift cards, museum passes, fine wine, theatre tickets, and more. Prizes include gifts from such Bay Area establishments as the Exploratorium, Flax Art and Design, Sports Basement, SF Opera, SFMOMA, YBCA, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco (De Young, Legion of Honor), Yoppi Frozen Yogurt, SF 49ers, Happy Baby, Salon de Belle Soire, Kabuki Springs and Spa, D4 Hair, and more. 

100% of raffle proceeds benefit our Scholarship Program.

Thursday, October 13th we're hosting an artist talk and mixer at Secession Art and Design. In honor of Open Studios and our belief in getting your story out there, current exhibiting artists Heather Robinson and Rachel Znerold will be joining us to share a bit about their process with you.Secession Art and Design is a great local boutique and gallery that showcases independent talent in an atmosphere that promotes community and artistic voice. We are very excited to welcome you to this amazing space along with owner and curator Eden Stein.

Of course we will have drinks and snacks as usual and fully expect lots of mingling and new friends to be made. So please join us, Thursday, October 13th from 6-9pm at Secession, 3361 Mission St.

Visit me for Open Studios! I'm participating in the first weekend of Open Studios (Mission, Noe Valley, Bernal Heights, Castro, Excelsior neighborhoods). Visit Secession Art and Design to see my latest mixed-media paintings and my working studio - I'll be there all day Saturday and Sunday, 11am-7pm to tell you about my work and answer your questions. Joining me will be Hilary Williams, Rachel Znerold and Colleen Mauer, along with Secession's curator, Eden Stein. It's a great opportunity to view the newest work of several artists and get to know them a bit!

My new series of work is entitled Net and Nest and combines painting with embroidery and crochet techniques in a unique way. They are best appreciated in person, so stop by if you can. The art will be on the walls at Secession September 29 through November 28.
